FRIDA KAHLO HOUSE, Mexico City

Early morning cab over to Coyoacán to see Frida Kahlo's house. The garden is beautiful, old style Spanish courtyard and her house left the way it was when she died in 1954. I was really moved by the house, you can really feel the spirit of her everywhere. I found her bedroom particularly interesting, seeing her little bed (she must have been tiny) with her death mask and all her personal things, many little oddity objects, dolls, skulls, skeletons, puppets and a full size skeleton hanging from the canopy at the end of her bed. It was a great privilege seeing this house.
