DSQUARE CAFE, Lavazza Coffee,,,best coffee in Patan, Nepal

I have been living for the last 3 months in Patan, Lalitpur (where you will see the best and most beautiful UNESCO temples and old palace site in Nepal!), just 15 minutes by taxi from Thamel (folks, taxi ride 350 NP rupees!). Finding a café that serves GOOD coffee was a must and after some time I found the perfect place - with a Lavazza coffee machine! - at Dsquare café and restaurant.
The café is a great place to hang out if you go into Durbar Square (a must to see the temples!). It has a really relaxing, cool décor. You can also find some excellent fresh croissants and other delectable bakery foods to eat AND if you want to try something from the menu, then head on up the stairs to their restaurant, which has a great view of the temples. Try the traditional Nepali set menu, which is a balance of nutritious foods and they have great western dishes as well! The staff, a family affair, are fantastic, friendly and helpful barista's. This place has been my regular haunt! and I can vouch for everything on the menu! It's right opposite the Patan Museum, you will see the sign LAVAZZA!! DSquare Café/Restaurant.

And...not to forget, the famous Dutch Syrup Waffle (stroopwafel) is on the menu too, made and sold locally. I have bought packets of these to take home and have them with coffee at the café. (place it on the coffee cup to heat the syrup). Delicious!
